It looks like pdf version of FSM '1996 Land Cruiser (RM451U)' has omission. I.e. in 'EM - Engine Mechanical' chapter after paragraph 'EM-001' goes 'EM-003', is 'EM-002' omitted? Then, after 'EM-004' goes 'EM-010'. Have 'EM-004,-005,-006,-007,-008,-009' been omitted?

Q: Are there really omissions in the .pdf version of FSM? Do these allegedly omitted paragraphs exist in the hard copies of FSM?

Where did you get your "pdf version" that's missing pages?

I've downloaded that huge 31 GB archive '1958-2018 Toyota Land Cruiser Lexus Manuals (ISO Image).zip'. I never had a hard copy of an FSM to compare them to .pdfs. I was curious if there are chapters missing, not pages, like on that snapshot - EM-003 goes after EM-001, was EM-002 omitted. Some PDFs in this archive look like pre-printing not completed versions, i.e. hyper-links are not working.
And yet they allow make searches by words, this makes me using them, not the text recognized versions.

Well, download the one from the Resources section and then you'll have a verified copy to compare your copy with (or you can toss yours, your choice). It's a scanned copy of the hardcopy. I have a pdf copy I download from TIS, when I downloaded all the Land Cruiser manuals before they were removed. I didn't post it because Marshall already had a copy of Birfmark's scan on the forum.

If you really need one, LMK and I'll post it.

I have no idea of where that archive came from, and no one else does either, because the guy who put it up didn't bother to cite his sources. That's one reason why I don't use it; the other being I have all the Toyota manuals and just don't need it, but I know I'm not the typical case.

None of the hyperlinks in the pdfs will work, unless you download the very few I've fixed. The TIS versions were broken from the site. Soem of my posted manuals are bookmarked; I'm working on a project to update the copies. All the pdfs I posted are text searchable.

It'll be later today; I'm replacing my son's steering wheel. Post #10, if you're interested.

It's there, page 1, dated 01JAN2025. There are bookmarks, but the hyperlinks are broken. Feel free to restore them, all you need is time and a copy of the full version of Acrobat. I've saved this as a version 10 or later file, so the older (and infinitely more useful) versions of Acrobat/Reader will work.

What's the difference between this one and the complete version that was already there?
