I have been searcing and can't seem to find a for sure answer. Does a 1HD motor require a fuel pump? I assumed it is just like a 12Ht that only uses the injection pump.

No they do not need it, however there are a host of people running low pressure feed pumps and reporting increased performance. Walbro is one brand that comes to mind. I know there is a discussion archived somewhere that discuss's this subject, and offers warnings of why not to run too much pressure, but that a little is good.

They might be in one of these two spots.

modern hdj's use 12mm feed line to provide better fuel flow. I bought 2 OEM fuel lines (firewall, and first frame fuel line) and the OEM tank pick-up, but had to make the final fuel run out of 1/2" hydraulic tubing.

I have no starvation issues....

That is good info. I did read about people using the Walbro pumps. It was just not clear if they were necessary. I could not find any mention of one in the FSM. By the way I Received my BEB bearings from Sheldon really fast. I have to give you and Sheldon a big Thank You for your super service.

I have the 10psi Walbro pusher mounted in my 1HD-T 80, I running the stock FZ fuel feed line until I can get ahold of a 12mm line. I am thinking that the pusher will compensate for the smaller feed line and provide enough fuel. When I get the electrical finished I will get to test this out..
I got my pusher from http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/

the 1/2" rubber hose I am using for connection is 12.7mm ID fyi.

muhahahaha

How noisy is that Walbro? is it a 6000 series?

I'll let you know when I get the swap wrapped up and I am on the road, I have heard they make a bit of a ticking time bomb noise that is noticable from outside when running, but not so much from inside while driving. I mounted my Walbro on rubber air box mounts in hopes of keeping the noise down.

Mine is a 6065 12V 10PSI
