I have, but I carry lots of tools, etc. inside, and all of it has to be unloaded (and then reloaded) each night and morning. So I've ordered an ARB side awning and a "room" that attaches to it so all that work doesn't have to occur.

My guess is that you're going to love that thing. The room has space for 2 exped mattresses if you want to crash without putting up the big tent. It goes up fast and we use it pretty much every time we camp. It's the only awning screen room combo that completely seals thus keeping out water and BUGS!
The LED in the awning has different colors which we thought was a dumb gimmick at first but it's really great when you can switch to amber so as not to attract BUGS!

I did few modifications to the setup since then. It's not perfect yet. I removed the base that comes with the cot as its a spring-type base and when I sleep, the weight directly falls on the folded seat. To avoid that I prepared two wood planks. Now I can keep my weight off the folded seats and have a solid base to have a mattress.
Next problem to solve is to make the cot a bit stable without wobbling. Since I wanted a slight gap between the cot base and the folded seats, legs are off the floor. I kept some old wood planks but its wobbly for now. For my next trip, I will modify the set up a bit more so the cot doesn't wobble.

I did not want to make any permanent changes with the car, its seats or anything. This cot is perfect, foldable, easy to carry in the bood and won't take long for me to fold the seats and set up the bed. This is a versatile setup to convert the car to a normal people carrying one or an

off-road camper in minutes.
