Do Sequoia heater T's fail too?

Sorry, not really 100 series related, but a friend of mine has a 2003 Sequoia and it looks to have the same heater T's as my 1998 Land Cruiser. I google searched and couldn't find instances of them failing on her truck. Anyone know if they're prone to failure as well or did Toyota improve the plastic by then?

I plan on changing them out in our Gen 1 Sequoia when the next t-belt comes around. Same engine so same concerns IMO. I don't think the later years benefitted from any improvements in materials. They just aren't as old yet LOL.

With all the Sequoias out there, I would have thought it would be more documented. Wonder if their location doesn't stress the T's as much (a bit more slack in the hoses?)?

I picked up T's for her Sequoia today and they are the same part number as the ones for my land cruiser.

Same part used on the 80 series too... yet few/no problems with them on the 80.

There's really not that many problems with them actually failing on the 100's either. When you think about it, the 100 series had been around for what? 15 years before this even hit our radar?

I swapped them out on her Sequoia this weekend. Literally took about 5 min to do both vs much long on my land cruiser. Hers didn't look too bad, but I thought it was cheap, easy insurance. I'll keep her old ones as spares.
