Getting ready to put tires on my M416 and was curious if anyone had problems with radials leaking air thru the rivets on the old rivetted M416 wheels without using a tire tube?

I ran set of standard trailer tires on the original M416 wheels for years with no tubes and no leaks, I even towed the trailer from Maryland to Arizona like that with zero issues.

I can 2nd what Henry said as I run a set of tubeless tires on my M416 with the stock rims at this time . It sat for over 3 years in my shop with a load of parts in it and they didnt go flat . They were low (about 20psi when I would run them at 40)
I think the only thing was the rim used a larger stem then a normal rim but I found it at a big chain auto store on the wall so should be not a problem for your tire shop

After getting my rims powder coated, I ran a stripe of POR15 around the middle on the inside where the rivets are. This is where the powdercoater hung the wheels so there was a small strip not coated. I figure the POR15 will further protect against any leaks if it was even feasible for leaks to occur.
