Just put it in my calendar incorrectly.

Next HAMOM is scheduled for July 11...
I'm not sure I want to tackle a trans, transfer swap on a Saturday, but I will if you guys think we can get it done.
If it were my truck, I wouldn't hesitate, if it didn't get finished, it wouldn't be a problem.
Let me know what you guys think.

That's the same day I'm supposed to drive up and get my 40 back from Marshall. If it isn't ready, I will be at the HAMOM with Benke's wrenches in hand. Willing to wrench on whatever - trans and TC is a big job, but I'd love to learn it! I also have some small stuff to do on the 80 and need to reinstall a winch line on the 100. That will be a 2  job according to @BBQ BOY . No rush on my stuff, though. Oh, and I will be upgrading my OME Medium springs to Heavies soon - ideally will have that done before LR.

Great weekend at Hurricane Creek with ONSC, I definitely recommend it. Driving back, my truck overheated around Orangeburg and as I was pulling over, the radiator blew, or more like a loud explosion with coolant blowing out and back on my windshield. That radiator has less than 1,000 miles on it. I lost my drive belt and the cause was a random piece of truck tire that came up through the engine bay finding it's way to my belt. The engine was still running when I quickly shut it off, so I'm hoping there was no major damage. I had it towed to Firestone in Orangeburg, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm just hoping the next HAMOM isn't "parting-out Tim's truck".

That sucks, how hot did it get?
I'm worried about the radiator blowing out, that doesn't sound good.
Let me know if I can help.

Uh oh! That's definitely not good @Beau Diddly. At least it didn't happen on the way up, and she was able to get you most of the way through a good weekend of wheeling and camping. Hopefully the motor's still OK and lasts you a bit longer so you can get all the pieces for the diesel swap ready!

As far as the next HAMOM - I won't be here on the 11th unfortunately so won't be of any use if a trans swap is on the agenda. I'd love to help with that if/when it does happen though, just for the learnin'.

Dude! Sorry to hear that! Glad you and the wife are ok though! Let's us know how we can help!

Looking like we will be replaceing another radiator at this hamom

It's not a Toyota, but who wants to help me install Coilovers on my new F150? and POSSIBLY rear blocks.

Thanks again for everyones support! I have a couple of questions for July 11th

!. What kind of pizza, bbq or sandwiches does everyone like?
2. I am ordering the gaskets for the trans case, have fluid, have gear oil, what else will I need?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I am also a professional photographer and film maker so will gladly photograph anyones rigs :)

There are 2 bolts on the top of the trans that are a pita to get to.
you have to pull the center vent, pull the carpet back, and remove a cover plate to get to them.
this could be done prior if you have the time.

Okay, my 40 will not be ready this weekend, so I'll be attending the HAMOM. I have a few things to do on the 80 - but the stuff I have parts for is low priority (unless I can come up with a PS Pump before Saturday). Willing to wrench/learn on other folks' stuff.

I am looking forward to it! Ill try to have as much prepped as possible... Can someone send me a message wit the address?

I'm gonna try to make it Sat. I may try to change my belts on the Tacoma. The ac belt is squealing when I turn on the ac. You think the belt just needs to be tightened or changed or do you think it may be a bearing or bad ac compressor? I'll see if I can get some belts from Jamie at Sparks! It's probably time for them to be changed anyway at 185,000 miles!

I'm gonna try to come early because I have to be back home at about 4 to take family pictures at the beach:) I've got the belts so I think I'm gonna try to change them if I can get on the lift early and knock that out with a little help. Just let me know how early to be there!
