Ugh... One day after tightening the steering box 1/4 turn, I think it failed! Drove to Folly and back today and when turning into the driveway, she kept going straight... turning the steering wheel does nothing other than occasionally feel like its catching but does not. Fluid level is within the marks... Any suggestions or advice welcome! Thanks
Rick

doesn't sound like the box. sounds more like ssomething came loose. Maybe a drag link on the pitman arm?

Do you have someone that can just steer it back and forth while you check out the linkages?

I moved around the cars on Sunday... The 100 is dead in the front yard. I have a new starter and Main Relay coming from Onur, but I think the issue is either spark or fuel... I tried charging the battery and swapping the Fuel Injection fuse, but that didn't resolve it. The starter turns over just fine and the battery has plenty of juice. Anyone have time to help troubleshoot?

The website shows a HAMOM for this Saturday, 5/16. Is this the one we cancelled? If not, we could pitch in on Jeremy' issue, his truck issue that is.
Tim, that is incredibly thoughtful and much appreciated! Alas, I won't be in town this weekend... I'm taking a future LCLC Member up to Charlotte to pick up his 80 Series from Al... Those that know Al's 80 knows that it's a real beast (37's, 6" lift, turbocharged...) - and Mark will be a good addition to the LC family. He'll be up for HAMOM's and beer exchanges.

I will try a few more things on the 100, but the boss might force my hand to have it towed to LexTech. If it were in the driveway it wouldn't be a big deal, but it's in the yard and the complaining and questioning has begun.

sounds like a fuel pump, Jeremy. It's in the tank, and it has to drop to get it out. I'd like to see Al's 80 up close, maybe at the lunch in G'town.
I'll be around this weekend, I'm going to try to get the Mercedes running.
if anyone wants to fix something simple, I'm game, but the 62 is in the garage and can't be moved until the concrete is poured.
The forms are up and hopefully the concrete will be poured Friday.

That is a rite of passage my friend. No true Land Cruiser owner should have LCLC membership bestowed upon him unless his wife has spoken these lovely words. We should consider making that our official slogan.

no concrete until Monday, so the lift is out for this weekend,
But I will still be around Sat if anyone has any questions.

Sounds like you're building Benke's playhouse in to quite the establishment!

It will be 16x 22 when its done. I hope to get walls up soon, the concrete was the only hold up.

Did you make it up to Charlotte for the 80? We'd like to see a few pics. Any luck with your 100?

100 is at LexTech, ironically it started just fine when it got there... I spent a week trying to get it started with no luck! Glenn is magic. 40 made the trip without incident - it wasn't as uncomfortable as some folks describe 40's on long trips. Perhaps I just got a good one :)

Picked up the 80, it will need a bit of work for Mark to be comfortable wheeling it... It has a death wobble and needs some brake work. Al provided all of the parts to do it, we just gotta get it done. Mark is excited for sure! He wants to attend some HAMOM's and get to know folks, but he's not much for social media, so I don't know if he'll create a Mud login... We'll see.

Tell Mark I don't do social media either, but I do play on IH8MUD.
There is so much info on cruisers.
He'll cave eventually.

The Club website is showing 16-June (which is a Tuesday) as the date of the next meeting/HAMOM. I apologize if the date was posted and I missed it, but when is the June meeting going to be held?

I saw that too. I have June 6 (Sat.) on my calendar as a HAMOM but I think that was from the original calendar and has been updated by now. (??) When is the Georgetown meetup/dinner? If there is a meeting of some kind next weekend, I'm not going to be able to make it unfortunately.

David is enlarging his lift area and could probably use a little help. I'm sure the pad has been poured by now. Whether we offer the help as a HAMOM or on another date, I would like to at least offer it to someone who has helped us as much as he has. @dbenke, we can't help until you tell us what and when. Help is on the way....

Sorry about that. What date are we wanting? I will make the change.
