Yes I do know of the Arkdroid. I follow A youtube show called "Grind hard plumbing". Yes the name sounds very gay but they are super entertaining and make some insane custom offroad vehicles. They use an arkdroid all the time.
Local dealer? Any way to see one in person?

Not a bad deal for a little 110v. Comes with a tank, which is a couple hundred right there.

Thats a good price with tank
Depends on if it’s a Home Depot Lincoln or more expensive one. Seen a few lately for around that price.

Looks like Victory torches.

Old school…

Overall I’m fairly pleased with the results… especially for the first time using a circle jig. Cutting a small arch out of a scrap of 1/2” plate was a new challenge. 🤷‍♂️

I bought the oxyacetylene torches back in ‘92… long before I’d ever heard of a plasma cutter. If I win the lottery I’d definitely be looking into a laser cutter.

Progress.

Any guess what it is?

for perspective: 3/8" bolts and 12" steel plate.

I suspect I could even say they'd be bullet proof, but there's a limit to that if you're thinking literally.

That was 3/8 plate just hanging with no backing force.

I have ran some experiments on this subject.

Normal hunting bullets of almost any caliber will sail threw up to 1/2 inch under 90meters distance . 5/8 will stop a standard lead hunting bullet in the non magnum calibers.

There’s one very expensive type of steel that is per se bullet proof called abrasion resistant or AR steel.

Since the steel plate will be mounted horizontally, and its minimum horizontal dimension is greater than 5/8”… it should be a darn near bullet proof part. Also, add 1/8+ beneath it, and 1/4” above it… it’ll be far more bulletproof than the sheet metal, aluminum, and plastic parts that surround it.

Oxy-acetylene torches $200

One way to get through locked gates.
