Anyone tried this?

I do like the less chrome look at the front.

Found a company Light werkz that does it for 500 bucks….

Here is a step by step of how to open and reseal a factory headlight.

I may try it one of these days

This video might also help the guys with cracked lenses and condensation.

I haven't done this myself, but I've dealt with lightwerkz before and they're reputable. I did my own headlights as I was younger with a tight budget and occasionally experienced fogging. That said, I'd highly recommend sending them off to be professionally done. If you have an older year, consider a proper LED/HID dual projector retrofit while they have them.

A lightwerkz job posted here previously

There was a concern for this mod throwin an error code due to it messing up the auto leveling function.

Here is the company’s response.

Yes. The previous issue was because we power lights on to highlight the headlight lenses while putting it back together. This is so we can fully check to make sure there is absolutely no dust or signs of us being inside. We have learned from this so now we do not power the lights on at all. We have a different light we use. The specific issue highlighted below was specifically only on the first one we did.

I have one lightwerkz headlight and one heritage headlight (I crashed and broke the drivers side). The right side LW has functioned without incident since new 12/19.

See my build.
