I came across this vid and wondered if anyone has built something similar.

there is also this one below, but i don't know if carb cleaner will mess with the internals of the injector.

I have my intake all apart and am trying to clean everything up while i have easy access.

What are your thoughts?

I thought you need some pretty specialized and expensive equipment to rebuild and test injectors.

I know about diesel injectors but I think gas are similar. You can clean the injectors and replace the nozzles yourself. The release pressure between injectors is balanced by measuring with a "pop tester" and adjusted by shimming. Again, with diesel injectors, I've cleaned and rebuilt mine, then had a shop balance them.

I recognized those fuel rails a million miles away from the first video. Those are DSM (Diamond Star Motors) fuel rails and injectors. They are low impedance injectors and you can get them to open up with using a 9 volt battery and not damage the coils inside them. There are two type of injectors, low and high impedance. If my knowledge serves me correctly Toyota are high impedance and I be cautious of hooking them up to a 9 volt battery. The right way of cleaning injectors is to "valve" open up and back-flush them out. If you ever look inside one they are nothing more than a over gloried actuator. Think of a starter actuator. Think there are many companies that clean and balance them. One of the one I used many times in the past is RC Engineering in Torrance CA. They have a pretty good turn around (1 week).
