Been here a while, have owned other FZJ80's; Found this one accidentally when I was driving through Portland, Maine. Dismissed it, since it was already semi-built with ARB front bumper. OME lift, and Prinsu roof rack; I assumed they would want too much for a price, but still snapped a photo of the phone number to call and see what price they were asking. after a month of phone tag with the shop it was sitting at and the actual owner, I test drove it, got it home, and started to look it over. one thing that was not so obvious was the zip tie holding the distributor terminal to the distributor.

So I started searching Mud for hints as to where I can find another terminal,; searched Ebay, Amazon and Toyota parts diagrams. An internet search turned up (eventually) a New Zealand company that sells Automotive Electrical terminal kits and some individual terminals. An exact match, and while the shipping was more than the terminal, finding a new terminal and an exact match, I bought it.

purchased it 01/04/21, it arrived this morning via DHL. I was going to swap the cap and rotor anyway and had them already from local dealer, so I dug right in. I used a simple probe pick set from Harbor Freight, the long skinny probe worked perfectly.

Disconnected the wiring and took cap off to get out of the way... the old terminal is first, the new uninstalled one after:

New one attached and perfect fit :)

If I can do this, anyone can, no broken wires, no disasters and really only took about ten minutes total including swapping the cap and rotor.

Now for the truck porn: this is the truck at the garage when I went to test drive it (Not my plates on it):

Welcome to Mud! Nice truck!

Wait, the zip tie is not OEM? Well now I have to order a new one because mine (errrr....) was modified like that by the darn PO (Present owner). Ha!
