I got it cherry red and then hit it with a sledge for a while. I can try it again but I am out of oxygen.

Do you have to reuse these shackle bolts?

If not just use a grinder and cut the ends off, or sawzaw em.

No i'm not reusing, but what would that gain me? All it would do is give me less bolt to pound on.

Ah I forgot they were factory shackles that the bolts are pressed into the shackle. If you were using after market ones that idea would work but your not.....

I am putting aftermarket greasables on.

I found out that i need a top leaf for the rear. I am starting to get sick of problems!!

No, the only one that still has a bolt in it is the most recent broken leaf.
