Totally understandable about foot-down install.

I'm looking for a good deal on 9-12k winches. Some winches, like the Warn 9.5cti have a shroud or something over the top that makes kind of tall, ~10.5" according to the online specs. What are the general dimensions of the cavity that will hold the winch, LxWxH?

I will have to get the exact dimensions. But I do know and winch with an integrated solenoid box will not fit. You will need a non integrated

This type will not work.

Looks good. When you have the first one done, please post all the options you are offering for this bumper.

I am probably going to use a different marker/turn lamp. It is used on a freightliner truck.

Yeah, I plan to put the lights and blinkers in mine and have it powder coated and then post pics.

Still, no more pieces. I guess the hold up is they are in the middle of switching from auto cad to solid works. They assured me they would make good progress this week.

I had a few guys asking if they could fit round lights under the stinger so I ordered some 9" led round lights. They look the same as the arb but they are from china.

I'll let you guys know what I think when they arrive.

So of corse half want welded and half want modular. What I will do is design it to be modular and give an option for me to weld. But honestly I don't think you guy will want it welded once you see what I have planed. It will be just as strong if not stronger than welded. Basically what I'm planing is to build a cap that will slide over the 3 pieces that form the shackle mounts and bolt through the existing holes. Hard to picture but I should have some pics later this week

I am not a welder, but I spent a summer as a medic on the next "Divergent" movie last year in the metal shop. After seeing how they put things together, as long as the bolting plates were strong, and large bolts were used, I am confident anything you do modular will work well and WILL be just as strong. I asked these same type of questions about the strength differences at the time. The guys in the metal shop had to put together entire buildings that could be bolted together in a few hours and then removed.

For those insisting on the welding, consider this important aspect to the "modular" approach: Replacing a module. Think about it - after a weekend on the trail you are surveying the damage on the side of your bumper... Ah well, you now have the option to 1) send the "wing" back for repair or 2) just replace that ONE side of the bumper. This is a very cool option because you WILL eventually hit something. On another note, you could also remove that side, hammer it out or repaint it and bolt it back on - WITHOUT help since you are only lifting a part of the total bumper weight.

I've been watching this thread as a lurker a few months. You are doing a fantastic job of developing this product. I am certain you will go far with this, that modular design gives options like the Jeep folks we have all seen and coveted.

I will be in touch about getting one ordered soon.

Let me know how to get on an order list. I love this bumper.

ETA for production ? very interested ...... hoping to finally pick up a hundy on Friday....

Thanks guys. I will be calling the shop today to see what progress has been made. It's looking like mid April for the early orders and prob mid may for the later. Pm me if you want one and I will let you know what to do. Thanks.

Stopped by the shop today, they were working on the wings and had the light and blinker cutouts in them. I should have some pics this weekend with the flush mount LEDs and the bullet LEDs. Also the 9" LEDs came today. Quality seems good and I'm liking the look.

Some night shots of the new lights for anyone thinking of going this route. These put out almost as much light as my 50" bar!

I'd like to order one for my 99 LX. Eta on dates, options, etc?

Here is an updated price list. I did have to come up some to cover the increase in production cost due to all the different options. All prices are for the modular bumper.

Front without bull bar, $900
Single stinger, $100
Full bull bar, $200
No winch cut outs, $25
Flush mount led cutout, $50
Bullet led blinker cutouts $25
Brackets for 1" body lift,$75
Front receiver, $100
Hardware kit. Will include all grade 8 bolts to the frame and stainless button head bolts for the rest. $35
Light tabs to your specs on upper bar$25
Powder coat $150-200,

DIY prices.
Front, no bull bar,$550
Single stinger, $50
Full bar, $100
All other options the same as above.
Eta is still a little up in the air but I'm hopping to ship the early orders out mid April and the later out by mid may. If you choose powder coat that will put you out another week or two. Again thanks for all your patience and you won't be disappointed.

You guys may have by Cruise Moab. That would be a cool place to get a sneak peek at the Benc setup.

front receiver = 2" receiver hitch in the front of the bumper to mount additional accessories and/or push around a trailer in a tight spot or back down a trail.
