Hi,
the other day I tried to open the car with the key, without disabling the alarm first. The alarm went off immediately, of course. So, what if my remote gets lost, broken or out of battery? Is there still any way to stop the alarm, provided I have the key? I didn't try if it stopped by actually inserting the key and starting the engine.
I have the remote independent from the key, with only two buttons, lock/unlock. Sorry I can't take a picture of it right now. The model number reads: DENSO 1512T 1997.

Well, I tried it yesterday. Once the alarm has started yelling, inserting the key and starting the engine works but it doesn't stop the alarm. Thus, if I lose mu remote or if it gets out of battery I can´t use the car. Is this correct? I'm thinking about keeping a spare remote hidden in the car, just in case.

I know on some cars if you unluck the rear hatch or passenger door with the key that it turns the alarm off. Haven't had to try. Give that a shot.
