What's crazy is that little sh*t decided to chew through arguably once of the more scary components to go wrong 😂 if you've not killed it, I'd interrogate it and ask who sent them..

The 2007LC has been booby trapped, My favorite one is the extension cord plugged into garage 110 outlet. Hope its enough to turn him into jerky.

Have you tried keeping the hood open to see if that keeps him away? Maybe not a permanent solution but a temporary fix since it seems like the squirrel is hell bent on coming back for that spot.

Also, how about a round of degreaser / some kind of mild cleaning agent and a hose down of that engine bay. Sometimes a change in scent is enough to keep them from coming back.
 
Or smear axle grease all over the wires at the connector, to make them less tasty.
