LX AHC T-bar 25.5mm

Yes it was. You just never passed physics. :flipoff2: Read Hoser's second sentence again.

One doesn't need to be a physicist to discover after upgrades that:

My LX450 with Slee's 6" springs is a total ZO6+ harsh ride with no dive in the ride department despite using the same shock.

My 100 was a nose diving and bouncing beast with the facotry torsion bars vs the SAW's despite having the same shock.

The systems work together. Plain and simple, the OEM T-bars couldn't support the weight of the ARB and winch and therefore the shock's effectiveness was minimalized.

Exactly as Hoser said... the stock springs did not adequately support the added weight. Thus, the SHOCKS allowed your truck to bounce. Physics...

Why am I getting involved here.

I am so glad we have tech writers like you guys to explain things in a way that makes em clear. I'm actually only half kidding.. Thanks

Bringing this thread back from the pastttttttt.

What is the deal with the huge price increase in swayaways torsion bars??

And one other question, when have you guys replaced your torsion bars? How many miles if any????? thanks!

i am replacing mine at 150K only because i am putting an ARB on the front. my truck sits level with the OEM right now and i was actually hoping i didnt have to change out the T-bars, but 99% of the people said to do it. I got a killer deal on them.....

Exactly.

My SwayAWay are still good to go after 100K miles. Now, they are too expensive though. I'd snag OME's if I were you.

Shotts,
Any "real" difference to picking one over the other besides price?

There is only one size for the OME T-bar for the gasser 100. Medium and heavy refer to the rear springs.

T-bar diameters (from a previous thread):
OEM 28.87mm
OME is 30.5mm
Sway Away 31mm
Sway Away Diesel 32mm

The diesel is longer in length....would it fit a gasser?

When I bought my SAWay in 2001 they were under $400.00. Today, I'd buy OME. A touch softer but people report that they do the job nicely. I'd stay away from Ironman as they are even firmer than mine which will make the front harder to articulate.
