Who all has experience with the ARB and Air On Board (AOB) diff breather kits? These both appear to come with a thinner plastic-like tubing as opposed to rubber hose. Since 80 Series front axles have the rubber hose that clamps to the nipple coming out of the axle, would the 1/8 BSP M to 1/4 PU fittings screw into the axle housing? I’m wondering if these kits are worth the trouble basically.

Most of the kits are good bling, but are less than ideal. I'm not a fan of venting gear boxes together, risk of cross contamination and in the event of contamination, can't tell at a glance which one has the problem. Each box should have it's own breather, it's cheap and easy to do, some 1/4" hose and small fuel filters.

Couple feet of 1/4" fuel hose and cheap fuel filters are probably fine!

Just did my diffs with 1/4” vacuum hose and small filter. Ran the rear along the frame. Used a T to connect the front then into the filter. I also attached a hose to the filter output and coiled/ drip looped it to prevent water/mud getting into the filter. I attached the filter and coiled hose with zip ties by the brake booster to the frame. I bought 25’ of vacuum hose, box of Ts and a filter for just over $20.

DIY diff breather kit is a rite of passage. Low cost, very effective, no frills. On mine I went with fuel line but vacuum line probably will work just as well. As @Tools R Us mentioned there's no need to tie them together.

We run the front ones to the firewall over the brake booster.

The rear into the jack compartment, over the fuel fill hose. The second hose is for the rear locker actuator.

I just reused the factory breathers after extending the line. Then rebolted it inside the engine bay.

The rear I just moved up to the bottom of the body, I don't plan on going in deep water past the body.

Reason I didn't reuse mine is the front was clogged and the rear had some resistance. I almost went and bought 2x replacement rear valves, but ended up just using the fuel filters. I might go to the OEM ones in the future.
