My truck has been dieseling after the ignition has been turned off, usually for about 1-2 seconds. Thoughts?

Fuel cut selenoid.
Turn the key on and disconnect the wire then reconnect it and listen for the click.

When was the last tuneup? How many miles? Carb rebuilt?

Make sure there are no leaks in your air manifold. I had a leak in mine and exahaust fumes were entering the carb and gumming it up and causing the problem you are mentioning.

A little brazing did the trick.

It could also be a bad o-ring on the fuel cut solenoid.

sorry but .. what means dieseling . ?
Engine keeps 'running' after you turn off the ignition.

"now and then" when mine 'diesels', the engine is running backwards !

( put tranny in reverse, shut off engine, 'pukity-pukity', dump clutch, lurch forward ) WTF !
