I've got a Cummins swapped lx450. Just wondering if anyway knows if the stock diesel filler necks are larger than the gas. I'm tired of fighting with the little VW's at the diesel pumps.

IDK what the ROW does for this visa vie idiot-proofing the diesel pump, but seems the people doing dual-filler necks as part of a subtank install ask if a used unit is diesel or gas sized, and that was a ROW only item.

That leads me to think that there is a difference.

You might search / post over here:
Diesel Tech / 24 volts

More glowplug action there.

Do like I am going to do and hole saw it to as large as you want, I am going to get a used one and do this

Mines ground out a bit but still won’t fit the big nozzle. Always feel like a idiot when I pull up and have to move after I run my card at the pump. I’ve learned to do a drive by now and look at the pumps before I get out.

It is damn annoying trying to half throttle a large nozzle and squirting diesel every where.
Im a sucker for the OEM.
Does anyone know the part number? Or even the key word I'm missing? Spent some time googling filler necks but all I get is dual neck stuff. Don't need the neck just the plate? Restricter?

Im all for making small holes bigger if it doesn't leak but I'll leave that as a last resort.

All diesel models sold in Aus had sub tanks.

If your searching for a part number, you'll need to search for the filler to suit a diesel JDM HDJ81 or possibly Euro spec model that only had a belly tank.

Try this pn 7720160312 on partsouq.com and you'll get a picture. I used a diesel VIN to look it up. Looks like it is a dual filler neck.

Partsouq has the single filler neck..IIRC I had to lift the back couple of body mounts up to install..it's also highly advisable to swap out your hose and clamps, although one can get in to while you're in there $$ pretty quick

Part No. 7720160331 PIPE SUB-ASSY, FUEL TANK INLET 147.62$

This is interesting to me because my JDM 95 hdj81 won't take the high flow truck nozzles and I've been caught a couple times getting back in and moving like a newb.

Didn't come with a sub tank either. Maybe this is another difference between the Aus and JDM models?

Interesting. I've never been to Japan maybe they don't use the high flow nozzles at the normal pumps. I doubt there are many bro dozers Rollin coal to the grocery store.
