For those that need to know the physics of the Otto cycle.

This web page will explain a bunch of things if you play with the numbers... things like why an intercooler is both important yet ironically has little effect on EGT's, why lower compression makes more power, what the minimum compression is to operate a diesel, and other goodies of the sort. One of my favourite sites.
