My newly bought Lc80 has a suspension button in the dash bored which you can switch between sport and comfort but when i press it nothing happens and the light on the switch does not turn on , i checked the suspension there was no wire or sensor attached i assume the last owner changed the the suspension to regular ones where can i find oem struts with T.E.M.S

I imagine Toyota sells them.

I didn't think this was an option on 80s. Also, 80s have a solid axle with shocks. McPherson struts are an independent suspension thing... i.e. 100 series.

I’ve driven a couple VXL imported 80’s with this option. Either way the button was pressed and didn’t notice any difference. I wouldn’t personally want to spend the coin to retain the originality unless this was a museum piece. But to each their own!

My Supra has TEMS....they were an option on the J-spec 80 series. Chances are they were removed when the shocks started leaking years ago. There are many modern suspension options that will ride better anyhow. I am not aware of an aftermarket supplier that makes TEMS compatible stuff these days. I have Tokico TEMS compatible struts in the old Supra but I bought them probably 25 years ago...
