After about 4 months of sitting I finally got my 95 KZJ71 running. I wasn’t getting fuel and after chasing a bunch of things like fuel lines, filters, glow plugs, I finally figured it out when I got the capacitor’s on my ECU replaced and it fired right up. Took it for a spin and everything seemed to be running fine till I pulled back into the driveway and saw a little puddle of oil 😓 Prior to the no start issue I didn’t have any oil leaks, maybe a drop or two but nothing crazy, this is pretty much a steady drip now. I crawled under and it seems to be coming from between the bolts on the right side engine mount. But when I look above that I can’t see clearly where it’s coming from. My fear is did I crack my block somewhere around the engine mount? When the truck initially died on me I was at a friends so I tried a bunch of things to get it started including starter fluid and although nothing crazy seemed to happen I did read later you shouldn’t do that. I’m going to get some brake clean and really clean up the area so I can get a better look with a mirror. I had a leaky valve cover gasket that mucked that side of the engine up so it’s hard to see well. I wish I could post a video but I circled the area in red where I see one to two drips landing every second. Any ideas?

Check around the oil filter housing. There’s a weep hole there. You might be missing a hose that connects to it, which could be causing oil to spill onto the motor mount. Just make sure the oil filter is tight. I also noticed a wet area near the intake manifold on your photo, so you might want to take a look at that as well.

Trying to clean the area up and I came across this foam between the injection block and the engine that seems to be a big catch for oil and grime but it’s fragile so idk if I can pull it out without ruining it… is it important or can I rip it out?

Cleaned up the engine a little and checked the oil filter is tight. It’s definitely looks like it’s coming from somewhere behind or right above the engine mount. It’s hard to get in there because of the injection pump. I might need to get one of those snake cameras so I can get in there and see better. You can see in the photo it’s a pretty serious leak. Trying to think what else could be leaking oil back there

Okay, you may want to back up a bit. Just clean up the wet oil area and try to retrace where the leak is coming from. How often does it drip onto the ground? Also, check around the oil cooler near the oil filter housing.
