DID I LIFT MY 100 SERIES TOO HIGH ?? (3 Viewers)

i bought a 1.5 inch lift from old man emu, and i didnt measure the hub to fender measurements before installing.

i had a tough time with the torsion bars, and getting it situated i thought i was at a good height, i went to a cruiser meet up and a guy said it looks like mines lifted 4" and mine was parked right next to him and looked 2" higher than his with a 2" lift "AHC on lexus 100 series"

heres my measurements fron center of hub to fender
21 3/4" on front
22 1/4" on rear

i remember readinbg these rigs work best with a "2" rake", is that 2" higher on the rear or front?

my rears cant be adjusted so there are going to be at 22 1/4",

what height should my fronts be set too? 19 1/4"?

No, the rear should NOT be 2" higher than the front. The consensus here is 3/4" difference in front/rear hight is optimal for the best ride and handling.

You can google the stock hub to fender measurement. Sounds like your pals springs are tired.

Looks like you’re at about 2”, but give it a little time and it may settle. You could lower the front a 1/4”, but if you’re happy with the ride, then let it be.

Did you do the diff drop? When you go over 21” it usually results in torn inner cv boots before long without a diff drop.

i have not, i bought axles that have these CVJ axles so i was hoping it would deter the torn boots issue.
what do you think?

if i get the slee drop kit for the front differential will it replace all differential bushings? id like to get rid of the infamous "clunk" inbetween drive and reverse. or do i need to buy some oem bushings also?
 
I’m skeptical on the axles, but have no experience either. The diff drop will only lower it. It’s a good time to do the bushings, though.
 
the axle boots are made of silicon so theyre supposed to last longer, i was thinking about coating them with silicone lubrican or some type of thin grease because what i understand is the boot tears due to some type of chaffing.

That's a really good way to just get lubricant all over everything.
