Hey all. Long time lurker. Need to part with my 80. Hopefully there is someone out there looking for a truck like mine!
I bought it in 2018 with just under 250k miles on it. Now stands at 273k. Been a dependable truck, but she needs a few things I don't have time to do, and I have a new driver in the house that needs to learn on something else.
The good:
- New battery
- Replaced radiator and cylinder head in 2022
- Plugs and wires done in 2022
- BFG KO2 with plenty of life left on them
- Sony headunit with Android Auto (and maybe Carplay, I am not sure). Replaced trashed factory speakers with new 6-1/2 Pioneers
- Rear window regulators replaced
- Good interior - was re-covered just prior to me buying it
- Front axle rebuild done in 2019
- AC and heat work great
- Power antenna works
- Does not have to pass emissions since its 25 years old
The not so good:
- She has been through a hailstorm, so she has some dents in places. Window trim is chipped up.
- The clearcoat is shot
- Front left has a crunch from a Sonic Drive Up menu jumping in the way
- ABS light is on. I believe this is a wheel speed sensor but I do not know for sure since it is off when starting the vehicle and only comes on when you start to move
- Cruise control only works intermittently
- Front seats have very limited mobility. I think they need new worm gears.
- Driver seatbelt does not retract, is frayed, and should probably be replaced
- Steering wheel needs reupholstery
- Power mirrors do not work. Driver side needs a new zip tie fix
