detaching transmission form t-case???

hello, i just have a simple question. i have a 4speed trans and a three speed tcase. my tcase is bad and i am wondering if i can just replace it without opening the transmission. i guess i am asking where can i disonect the trans from the tcase. thank you, zac

Yeah you dont have to open your tranny...but you will have to remove 5 bolts....3 outside and 2 inside the PTO cover...and it will separate and dont forget your TC linkages and rear DS..would help to have a TC separator ...check the FAQ....goodluck
