Hey Guys,

Have been scouring CL/Mud/eBay/anywhere else I can think of for a Blue/Grey 60 since about May. My plan is/was to purchase a truck, drive it to California in November, spend Nov/Dec doing some surfing and exploring there and into Baja. At Christmas, put the truck on a boat, fly home (New Jersey) and meet her in Kauai after New Years for the winter.

I have been a little picky (no rust truck) and missed out on a few because I hesitated or couldn't mobilize fast enough being a non-local buyer.

Now it's crunch time. I wanted to be leaving within the next two weeks and I still have nothing. If anybody knows of such a truck I would really appreciate a connection. Happy to ship and facilitate an no-hassle transaction.

Thanks!!

Nick

I actually was in negotiations with a guy with a very similar truck. We could not agree on a price and it fell through. 1985 Diesel Toyota Land Cruiser

I am open but hesitant to buy a swapped truck, had a bad experience with another swapped vehicle I bought and I need to really be able to depend on this one.

There's a 1986 60 (Blue/Grey leather interior) for sale on Facebook marketplace in Cartersville, GA. 54,500 miles and looks to be pretty stock, asking $18,500. I thought I came across it on Craigslist but couldn't find it there. Facebook is weird about linking marketplace items or else I'd post it here.

Thanks for the replies guys. The one in bend has been for sale for months, maybe as long as I've been searching. It would be a good truck for me but I don't think $26,000 good.

I just found that one in Georgia, both the Bend truck and the Georgia trucks are not the colors I am looking for. I definitely acknowledge that I shouldn't be so picky on color and I've tried to convince myself of that but I just can't bring myself to buy a truck that isn't what I want.

Here is a really nice one in the "Blue/Grey" I am referring to that was on bringatrailer.com about a year and a half ago. 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60

You're going to buy a truck and then immediately take it on a major road trip? Into Mexico?

No time for baselining or sorting?

And the truck has to be in a certain price range and an exact color?

Is this for real?

Haha... I know I know. I started my search 6 months ago to give me all that time to find the right truck at the right price and sort it out. Nothing has panned out and here I sit. Your are not wrong, just threw up a thread out of pure frustration and hoping for some luck.

How set are you on a 60 and blue/gray? I have a white 62 that I will be getting ready to sell in about 2 or 3 weeks.

If its instagram ready then it has been baselined!!

To the OP, if you are married to one color on an already hard to find vehicle you have really reduced your chances of success. Take your pictures in black and white and the color will be irrelevant.

If you do stick to one color expect to pay handsomely.

@Paco rig looks clean and as you now know timing is everything.

Prices form last year are essentially irrelevant at this point.

LOL That cruiser has both vinyl and cloth seats depending on which door you open.

Haha yep!

Looks like there are some 40-Series photos sprinkled in there! The same dealer has a blue 40 on the lot. The internet sales manager's attention to detail must be lacking...

Depending which oic you look at it's apparently more than one series of cruiser based on the dash

Perhaps modify your post to specify that you are looking for color 8B4 (which IS the best color, of course).
