Trick to getting belt back on the idler pulley? I have it adjusted as far front as it goes and can't get it on...

What are folks using to plug the EGR port on the intake? I used the blockoff down on the exhaust one. I don't have access to a welder.

The 2 BVSV plugs are included in case both are broken. It's up to you if you decide to remove the unneded one and the broken one, or if you get a new one to keep the evap system functional.

With gas at $4, I would try to keep the evap functioning so I wasn't pissing away expensive fuel vapor all the time.

On second look they both had a broken nipple on them...I'll have to order a new one & read up on the evap system in the emissions manual.

Worst case, it may be necessary to unbolt the PS bracket from the side of the block. 3 bolts and one nut, all 14mm hex. Easy.

Yeah, that was about the only way possible...I tried yanking it out a million different ways...haha.

put the belt on the idle pulley and the waterpump, then go under and put the belt on from there, seems to work the best for me

and I dont know how many years my AP was out, but i recall it made noise for a few years, as I dont drive it much it may have been out since 1999.

I might be imagining things but the ole 60 really gets up and goes now, hoping it may have been the reason I was getting 8mpg and I swear it use to get 12mpg in town

hward,
The dissy is being built now. The finished dissy, idler, plugs will ship tomorrow. Carb to follow ASAP.

No, I don't have a good intake available.

No, don't use anything on the AIR plugs. I do recommend using teflon paste on the BVSV plugs.

Make everything correct and use one good gasket.

Jim,
I have a distributor that needs a rebuild. Is this something I can send to you?
Thanks

Jim, sent you payment of $23 for caps&plugs.

Hi! Great kit! I would like to get the EGR block plate, the 2 Allen plugs for the BVSV and the nylon caps! What would be the price for these items? Thanks

Yes, typically a source of manifold vacuum is needed to power the Dissy vent. A 1 or 2 or 3 port fitting will work for a desmogged truck. They can be had at PNP for a dollar off any old toyota engine.

Smog Pump Eliminator Kits

Jim, do you have any Smog Pump Eliminator Kits(bracket/pulley) available?

Thx.

When I put my plugs, I did find that small plug is too big for my Air Cleaner assembly, while the big plug fits perfectly in.
