New to area

Moved to Oviedo a year and a half ago and had to leave my BJ40 in the Dominican Republic. Just got back into the FJ world with a new rig. A 1975 with a Chevy v-8. I am hoping I can use this forum as a local resource as a start the "refinishing" process.

This dude named Luis has a Toyolet (pronounced toy-o-lay) also so that'll make two of you...wait Bret might have one also so there will be three. You are welcome to join us anytime and I highly recommend the annual Turkey Trot event coming up real soon. Bring the family or yourself and expect to have a good time. Tina Turner will probably do a back to back performance on Friday and Saturday nights around our camp fire which you don't want to miss! The Carter twins will sing acapello accompanied by the dynamic Buttmans' jug band which is especially rich and Cara Ballo should mistify with the fire baton twirl. Austin's City Limits will present their blue grass with Doc Possum and the forever fiddling arounders. A guaranteed good time!

Thanks for the invite to the turkey run. Not crazy about the diamond plate but beggars cannot be choosers. I have both seals (differential I think) leaking but other than that seems strong. Crazy wiring but that is par for the course. Could use a paint job and I would like to take care of the rust at some point under the diamond plating and get to a more normal truck. On my teachers salary, going to be a long process but glad to be back into an FJ......

the surface looks solid but it gave away and all three trucks sank in. We had to call a recker to pull us all.

I was wondering about the fence too. Do you electrify the fence. If not you should. Also wtf is the turret on the last truck. Radar or one of those cool directed energy things to make u feel like ur on fire for crowd control.

The fence looking stuff is an RPG Net that is installed on the MATV. the last turret is battery powered and has the roof to keep people from dropping grenades or anything else into the truck from bridges or cliffs.
