$4k obo.

Imagine wanting a expedition vehicle in this market.... and you have $7500. You know it will get something that needs work, and is likely rusty as hell. Now find one that isn’t rusty. Just saying, there is a market for most any level of entry to the Overland community.

Clean it up really well, take lots of photos, upsell the updated interior and 5speed, fix any warning lights. List it for $8k

I'll vote 5-6K asking price; considering clean undercarriage but lack of service history and known TB/WP overdue.
For context, I've been doing extensive nationwide searching for the past 2 months and considered anything from 98-07 with ideally less than 250K. Considered well maintained, 300K options as well. It does seem the demand for 300K plus vehicles is low, based on how long those listings sit on the market. Strictly based on my findings, 8K would be on the high end of asking but not completely unreasonable.

I almost purchased an 05 from a mud member (Phoenix area), with excellent service history and 295K. Undercarriage saw a few years in MT and UT, so not AZ/TX clean, but still very good. Vehicle was due for TB/WP and needed a new AC condensor (parts included). Came with gamiviti rack and relatively new Falkens. He was trying to get 7-8K, but was unsuccessful. He ended-up keeping it.

I think you're going to be very hard pressed to find someone willing to pay $6k just to put $3k into it right away, only to be left with a baselined 340k mile vehicle...with incorrect graphics and badging (it may matter to some). An equally ready 2003 for approximately the same price (~$9k) will have 100k less miles. If you really want to sell it, be realistic. Below is a random example plucked from eBay, full service history and 100k less miles. I bet you could get it for under $10k. As always, don't let asking price be confused with what they actually sell for. Most people aren't willing to admit the sale price.
