We're taking the kid out of school that day - heading up to see Dave Matthews and the Lumineers woohoo! Anyone want to get together for lunch or early dinner while we are up there?
Working with Natalie MacMaster that day. Pat "MF'ing!" Boone the next. Then on to Warren Haynes Xmas Jam with Sheryl Crow, String Cheese Incident, Trombone Shorty and more.
Not a big DM fan. Got some stories though. Campfire, perhaps. I'm sure you've heard of the bus waste dump on the Chicago bridge over a cruiser liner... One of the funniest things I've ever heard that didn't involve scat. Wait, it did! Score!
As it turns out, one of my coworkers (plays in Soul 2 Sea, local band) L _ O_V_E_S Trombone Shorty..apparently so do I...listening to it every day at work and never thought to ask who it was.
And yes .. I will be hunting you down for a campfire story or two!

#jealous - WH Christmas Jam!!! That'll be a blast. Love me some SCI too, at least the old SCI. I had a funny bootleg of DMB from back in the day where he was hi as a kite talking about "stranger" and painting his fingernails. Funny as hell. I saw him a couple of times at Fraternity parties and such, right before UtT&D hit it big - good times! Probably a dozen times altogether, and the large venues just didn't compare. Now, I don't even keep up with him anymore because I feel like he got too poppy - last show I went to of his, long ago, I felt about 15 years over the average age. One of the best DM shows I saw was Dave&Tim at Page Auditorium in '99, that was really cool with lots of stories between songs. I remember they played "If I Had a Boat" and ended the show on an incredible Warehouse.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. You work with someone from Soul to Sea? Tell him that you know the husband of Courtney Pratt, their #1 fan. We see them about every 6 weeks or so.
Terry, we already had this conversation lol..mondo is the man. He is a gifted musician...but ill tell him again lol - he and his wife are expecting a baby next month!
