Dealer replaced these parts. Was it necessary? (photos)

So i went to the dealership to have my rear pads change and get a transmission fluid change. I drove out this morning with a diferencial oil change, a front pad change plus these parts that were replaced. Seeing that they completely fubared my two requests I wanted to ask your opinion on these parts that they replaced before I file my complaint.

Can you take the parts out of the bags and then retake the pics?

Look like tie rod ends. As Rigger suggested, can you retake the photos with the parts out of the bag. Additionally, can you tell us if the spherical joint has a lot of play (wobble inside the joint) or is it nice and smooth when you move it around?

They shouldn't be doing ANY significant part swaps without your prior OK and understanding of what they want to do...especially if they are gonna charge you. My dealership would never do that without a phone call first. When shops yank/replace stuff without permission, it should be on their dime...on warranty...or they should wait for you.

To be clear, they didnt call you. You showed up and they gave you a bill for things you didnt authorize? If that is what happened you shouldn't have to pay for that
