Mean, just mean.

Do you two want to come kick my dog also?

Now I am planning to go to the BHCC and then the FN substitute event. BHCC is a long way from TX, but not so far from Emporia.

So, what I have heard is that rag-ride is more about drinking than riding... so is that two hobbies??

Damn, I was with the wrong crowd then. They drank very little. We drank more the sleepover night of the MS150 than on the RAG. And yes, I made it without taking the sag bus.

The only two wheel rides I am doing this year has an 1100 cc built in.

In my youth, a day went like this:

Get up and hit the road at dawn.
Pedal hard to the next town.
Pitch tent and sleep in afternoon.
Party until bars closed at 2 AM.
Repeat.

I'm envisioning:

Get up and hit the road sometime.
Get to next town and take a nap.
Get moving, eat dinner, drink a beer or two.
Fall asleep around 9 PM.
Repeat.

Cool that you are doing it again! Good luck. You need to keep us posted on how you are doing on training and such.

I'm supposed to be training?

I'm going easy right now, 15 mile rides at moderate to fast pace 3 days a week. A college room mate owns a bike shop near Parkville and he planned out a training schedule. Right now I'm on my hybrid, but will be purchasing a new road bike once we know for sure we made it through the lottery.

I'm doing my first MS150 this year with my bud, Rob -- (over my anniversary weekend -- oops.... that is going to cost me big)

I hope to do Rag-ride someday.... I was told the proper way to ride is to have a beer per every 3 miles of riding throughout the day.. that way you sweat out all the liquor.

I did one 18 mile training ride the week before MS150 last year. LOL Both Terrie and I ride in comfort on Hybrids. Comfort....what a crock. Having a saddle attached to your arse for hours a day, there is no comfort......:bang:

That's just nuts. Here's how to ride in comfort...

Day 6 Bicycles - Join The Comfort Bike Movement!

These were developed / designed by a fraternity brother of mine.

That Day 6 bike would be cool if they could put a sidecar for the liddle lady....
