All hands on deck. October 2, 2010

The Annual is Oct 9 and we need to do some prep work and clean up before hand. We'll need help cutting and toting wood, clearing the trails and generally cleaning up.

This will be a rain or shine weekend, if it's raining on Saturday we'll be out there on Sunday, there's simply no time for a rain check.

We'll probably ride a few trails toward the end of the day but that's not the priority.

Would it be better for me to bring my truck or my land cruiser? :hhmm:

Sorry ya'll, I'll be in Arkansas.

I'm not familiar w Dawsonville...is this a trail cleanup? State owned? Private??
Fill me in on some details. I think I might be able to make this one!

You in NC like your sig says or here in GA?

It's a piece of private property that we have access to so you probably wouldn't be familiar with it. Cleanup will focus on just that, if we ride any trails it'll be the latter part of the day for a few hours only.

Update:

This will be a tree cutting day. Ralph has the rest of the property under control so no trail clearing needed.

There are 20 trees that need cutting down so if you need firewood this will be a good opportunity. That said, if you want firewood we'll need to split the cost of renting a log splitter. We can get one from the Home depot in Dawsonville I think for <$100

If you're interested let me know and post up

Havent seen anyone since the Expo ride but I live right down the road and may be able to lend a hand. What time are you guys planning on getting started.

cool, I'll be at the Chick-fila there in Dawsonville about 9:00 if you'd like to meet up.

The wood splitter--so far I only have myself and Sid for the splitter and not sure if we it's worth getting for only 2 people. ANYONE ELSE???????????????????? I can't read minds folks, we need to hear from you. thank you!

Should be avail around 12, should I call you or just show up? And you can make that 3 on the splitter.

best to call assuming I hear my phone over the chainsaws and wood splitting. I'll probably be spending the early part of the day laying out driving courses and then on to the saws.

Thanks for the food, the chili was greatly appreciated.

Oh by the way, IFS cannot be that bad:D I still think mine has done pretty well hanging out with the hard core rigs...
We gotta get Jason a rear locker and some skid plates for his new truck and see what kind of a challenge we can dream up....:idea:

thanks to everyone that came out on Saturday.
