What a bunch of whimps having your rigs ready to go this soon, I'm picking up the tubing for the trac bar tomarrow after work. Still need to change oil in everything the family owns, repack the trailer bearings and weld up the spare tire mount. This all will be done between 5 ballgames, a graduation, a graduation party, mowing 3 yards, a 50 hour a week job, and kissing up to the wife to make up for being gone for 9 days.

Should have plenty of time.

Mark

Yeah, your right....that sounds like way more fun.

I'm still making arrangements for a trailer. I'd flat tow the 40 if I knew I could get away with it....again.
I take my course final this thursday if all goes well. The 40 need fresh fluids so I'm pretty much ready. I'm trying to scam a couple of quick side jobs for cash for the trip. Let see what happens.

Pre-PYS party at my place Friday night :hillbilly:

Sounds good Jeremy, but I don't know if I'll make it to your place for the party.
then again I guess we will all be partying in different places together, so it'll be cool.

The big question that remains, is who, from which party, will be drunk dialing Bill & Vicki in the wee hours of the morning?

Soooo, John's driveway around 9:30 Saturday morning for the FIB's?

im ok with that.

Phil, with the exception of breaking a rear axle (assuming you are a semi-float and not a full float) I cant think of any normal things that would stop you from flat towing...shearing knuckle studs also I guess...well now you know what spare parts you need to bring.

I've already got the spare chunk boxed and ready so pinion breakage will not be an issue this time. I also have a few spare knuckle studs lying about so I may as well take them with.

need a chunk to wheel, but not to flat tow.... If you break a pinion again, I suggest taking an hour and pulling the pinion out of the 3rd....rather than driving all over the midwest to get/return trailers.

26 damn pages...you'd think the first post would state the dates...

I'm hittin the Razorback Ramble in Hot Springs AR, leaving here June 1 and leaving there Sunday June 6...

from what I gather from the schedule on page 4 and the smattering of guesswork dates and 'only x days away', the plan is Washita in Farmington MO on Sun June 6 and Mon the 7th, then to Flat Nasty on Tues...with a little luck, I'll get you Sun nite and hang thru Tues nite and head for home on Wed

Heather's birthday is Thurs June 10th...pretty sure she'll kill me if I miss it again...

Phil, if you need rear shafts for a 40, I've got a collection...plan B is to cut 'em down for table legs...

and if it all goes really bad, I could tow someone's junk back and return later for mine...I'm road-trippin south again later in June and leaving my 40 in a field to rust isn't much different that leaving it in my garage...either way, it won't get worked on...

and Phil, you could always hit Appleton and steal my ultralight trailer...it's 40-size...doesn't weight 1000#...2" ball, ready to run...

Talking with the crew that is driving back on Thursday (me, Phil, Jeremy and his brother along with somebody else who isn't sure if they are going yet) we were thinking about maybe driving to Flat Nasty Monday afternoon so we get at least 2 full days there. Not set in stone but seems like a good idea to me.

Damn....some of the "smarter" ones slip through our screening process.

This aint exactly a TLCA event going on here. General concenus is, if you dont know when to go, you dont need to go. This trip really sucks anyways. Atleast I hope is does since it has been confirmed yesterday that I cant make it. Not like any of you would be able to hang with my in my hardcore subie. Well, maybe Bill but that is a maybe :flipoff2:

See what happens? It rains parts and trailers! I so love Mud! lol

On a more serious note, I may have to cancel. I have a dilemma. Do I go with you guys and drink with some wheeling on the side, or do I go make some hard cash for 4 days? I'm not talking the regular copper side job b.s. but some real cash for once.

If you have to ask that question

Your values are obviously askew

Of course you go wheelin

You can make $ some other time

Glad to hear you can make it Woody

Bummer, wish you could have made it.

no you dont.

You can sell stuff out of the evidence anytime...
