Dash Pad Replacement - Retainer Plate and Impact Panel Parts?

Re: 40s series ('84 HJ47 RHD) upper dash pad install parts

I'm replacing the upper dash pad with a new one (part 55404-90301). I was thinking the new pad came with everything to install but the screws and spacers. But...looking at parts diagrams today, I see the retainer and impact panel parts listed below. Do I also have to source both of those to install if I don't have the old dash to 'harvest' parts?

The retainer you may need to also get used from some donor

Post up in the wanted... maybe get both from a rust bucket tub for 100

Here's what I have. Is this cowl part what you linked on ebay or does that part mate up with what I have pictured?

Also, I did see fj40dash.com had an aftermarket retainer plate/clip for $35 plus shipping.

The ebay part is the same as what you have... that is part 55381-60010

The benefits I can see with that part are... you’ll never see it as it goes under the dash pad... it’s new ... it works ... it’s cheap

My retainer clip from @fjgoober arrived yesterday. Quick shipping and a perfect fit on the OEM dash pad. The package also included the screws to install, which I much appreciated.
