Anyone ever use one of these:

How was the fit and finish? And what drawbacks did you find that they didn't tell you?

Thanks :):)

Yeah, looks like my oem color in the pic, but I don't want to have to paint anything... If I want a color-match, it's another $35.

Maybe just one of those classy home-made carpet overlays for me! :grinpimp::grinpimp::grinpimp:

I have one, from the PO. It fits the dash well and is hard to tell its even there (I didn't see it until after buying :o ). But the opening around things like the stereo and the instrument cluster are rough when you look closely. Also the extra amount of material there makes it hard to do stuff like pull the cluster or install an after-market stereo flush to the dash.

If you planing on using it to protect a good dash i say skip it. If your dash is crap and you want to cover it up its good, but clean the openings a little if possible.

And maybe don't glue it down permanently, just temp with silicone so you can pull it without ripping up the real dash material.

I have a $OR dash cover in my 62. Fit and finish are good but it cracked in about a year where there was a large crack in the dash underneath. I have a full dashpad replacement on the way from cruiserparts.net for $200. Maybe consider this as a more permanent solution?

I bought my gray dash pad from $OR (it was $68.00 at the time) and I used double sided tape. Well worth the $$$ and definately improves the look!

The PO bought one from SOR and didn't glue it, it looks good, fits well and I can pull it off when I installed my XM and stereo, I've pulled it on and off and it still fits well with no adhesive.
