Has anyone already adapted a Daihatsu engine to the BJ 73???

The 3B which came in almost all BJ73s is a Daihatsu developed engine. Are you asking about replacing a VM engine?

Yes in the VM engine. But 3b engine although it is developed by Daihatsu, it does not fit the same in the bell housing

Yes, so you use a B Series bell housing which bolts straight to the H55F (I assume) which is in the vehicle.
