Just picked up my 2005 LX470 with 247k miles  I know, just wait. It was a great deal(10.5k) and the maintenance records are impeccable. Leather was redone, has the 5 speed, Mark Levinson, I like the creature comforts lol

Great buy! Definetly would not pass that up, I got mine with 255K and its solid.
Yeah for sure, they’re going for an arm and a leg here in California. Took me a few months to find the right one. The service records for every oil change and work since 2004.

It looks like from 2004 to 2008 (57k miles) records aren't on that Carfax. When I found my LX, it was opposite, 2001 to 2015 (to around 75k miles) all was on Carfax/Lexus Owners. When I bought it in 2017 with 95k miles I had no records from 75k to 95k. When I had it baselined, my mechanic told me the timing belt was changed but with cheap parts, so I had him do it with OEM parts. I felt better to know at least the prior owner did a timing belt. The only thing he recommended was to drain and refill the transfer case 1 more time.

I lived in Tustin when this truck was sold in 2004. To someone else.

Already getting the ball rolling, AFE exhaust, no they don't make one for the 100 but I'll make it happen. With a little finesse and fab. I used a Ford F-150 Part #49-43011-B Mach Force XP , for cheap New, so i thought why not since the Borla is about $675 on Amazon, and the AFE was $210 shipped. I really could've bought metal and made something but this already had the axle bend in it so i took the chance it would work, and really the Exhaust tip is the best part lol.

Had to cut the longer section of the muffler off and use that end to connect to the Y on the stock piping after i cut the OEM muffler off. I didnt want to weld and fab a new Y, and a new one costed ~120 if Iever needed to go back to OEM look.

Had to relocate the hangers on the AFE so I could use the stock location on the body, on the muffler(2) and 1 on the rear section of pipe. The axle bend fit almost to good with enough room to clear the body, diff, and axle with flex and suspension on the lowest setting. The tip did land quite far towards the end of the bump so I chopped about 3 inches to set the tip right behind the mud flap.

Yeah dont know what happened there, maybe nothing ever happened up until they brought in at 57k, either first owner did the service or just skipped it completely lol

End results and spoiler:eek:Its pretty subtle, has more throaty sound, but a bit raspy around 2700-3000rpms. Pretty tamed on the highway no droning or even a purr. Right now under 2500 is its happy place, I like the cabin to be quieter so, ill run a decibel and freq test later and see if i can get rid of most of the cabin drone. Its not a lot but the less the better. After some research I need to fab up a helmholtz resonator with the extra piping, to cancel the drone.

After a nice wash and wax before the big trip up to South Lake Tahoe, threw on the cargo box for 8 snowboards👌❄ Time to hit the slopes couple more times before the season ends.

One of the reasons I went with Methods was cause I get really good pricing and they have their new technology, Their Trail series line with "Bead Grip" is pretty unique if you dont want to spend the dough on bead locks or want the weight. PLUS that Method Bronze on Pearl white😍 Youtube shows a dude running as low as 5 PSI on his Ranger.👀 (2nd choice would've been SCS)

Very nice truck. Great find, especially as it appears to be a CA car for it's lifespan. I have the same exact year and color, and even the same dual DVD headrests. 188K, paid $13K about 14 months ago. So yeah, your price is great considering the California pricing.

Yeah other ones I’ve been looking at wanted 12.5 or 14 in that range for clean ones. I got lucky this lady posted 11k and I jumped on it but the center diff lock light didn’t come on but I could hear the solenoid clicking, so she dropped the price. After searching online

$18 fix

Wheel & tire combo is perfect on your clean white cruiser.

Well done.

17’s are the new 16’s (seriously)

Damm that is cheap price on the exhaust.. Looks sick.

Working on the spare tire swing out carrier. Decided to make it myself and be cheap as possible with some scrap steel I have at home and from work. So I’m designing it as it goes lol. I did buy the major material like 12ft square tubing and the 2 1/2” hitch. I’m about $60 into this so far, receiver was on clearance at Lowe’s for $8 and the 12ft piece at the metal yard was $40, and a laser cut circle plate I’ll be using for the wheel face mount then some nuts a bolts.

Clears the stock spare and my 285/70/17 17x8.5 0offset, almost ready for paint. MIght add a jerry can to it as well. Waiting on my locking pin and I’ll finish this bad boy up

Smart way to use the hitch on bumper which is rated lower in pounds, and then install the stronger hitch on frame for better rating!

Very Clever ;)

Yeah it worked out perfectly, that way I can still tow or throw on my bike rack, plus it'll have better departure angle not being on the lower hitch.
