The bulb is blown, most likely. Some folks replace it, some folks like the green light gone.

How tough is it to replace the D Light?

It's a very easy job, I think it took longer for me to get all of my junk out of the center console.

I put a new bulb in, and then realized I preferred it without. The replacement bulb was BRIGHT!

On the LC, the job is a lot easier than on the LX

This light is out (dare I say it) in every LC/LX at this point. I may even throw 4runners into this mix.

66% of mine have the original "D" bulb still functioning (although I really don't miss the one that doesn't work).

I’ll also say, my LC is 99.9% sorted except for that light. I’m ok with that being the thing that never gets fixed.

At this point I would be more concerned if my D light was on.

No need to pull the steering wheel, just the collar cover parts to get the cluster out more easily.

okay. might just leave it. but my vsc and brake and trc lights also on but dealer said it was the cpu under the dash. brakes are fine, just indicates there is no ABS but i see here someone said those same light also game on when his D light went out.

Imo, the "D-light" is a royal distraction and PITA while driving at night. I removed it right after I bought the LX...no other lights were triggered by removal of the "D".

The easiest way to "fix" it is to whack the top of dashboard a few times right over the cluster. Then if you rather it out, hit the dashboard again until it goes out.

This thread will illustrate the possible issue you have with these lights and a cheaper way to repair.

No D light for me. And I usually run my gauge cluster pretty dim. Just a personal preference. I don't know what would make the VSC and other lights to come on in some rigs and not others.
