d light not coming on

okay. might just leave it. but my vsc and brake and trc lights also on but dealer said it was the cpu under the dash. brakes are fine, just indicates there is no ABS but i see here someone said those same light also game on when his D light went out.

I would reccomend replacing that bulb prior to trying to diagnose an ECU issue. Right after the D light went out the VSC Trac and VSC off lights started coming on but there were never any codes. Replacing the bulb immediately resolved the issue.

well mine is a land cruiser is there a thread with how to replace? i dont want to pull the steering wheel for sure.

Super Easy to pull the wheel and airbag and makes getting the cluster out much simpler. Here is a Youtube video on removal of the cluster for a 98-02 LC.

I’ve got the bulb to replace mine. I plan on removing the ABS bulb while I’m in there. I’m sick of looking at that light being on.

Hey dude bro I bought the bulbs for my drive light and the D bulb is Toyota part 90076-04003.

Yeah I just sat down and replaced all the burnt out bulbs in my cluster yesterday. It’s not a bad job and I rather like the all the bulbs working, even the “D”.

Anyone know which bulb(s) control the overall illumination of the entire cluster panel when you adjust the cluster panel illumination dial?
Mine works kind of but is super dim regardless if I set it all the way high/clicked to high or low, all seems about the same.
