I've driven/owned several different vehicles as I work for a dealership, and I have never seen these black pieces above the windshield on any other vehicle except for a 99 Honda Civic. Any ideas?

Attached: 2 pictures for thoroughness. Sorry for the poor quality -- stupid cell phone!

I don't really know, just always assumed it broke up airflow (or something like that) to keep wind noise/whistling down???

yeah something to do with wind noise......all the 100's got em, think the 80 do also.

Drive fast and close the window.

They keep the window in track when raising the window at speed.

When at speed the top of the window can get sucked out and become misaligned.

I am guessing but I do believe that is its purpose.

I figured the same as 80me.

I don't have them on mine. I must have gotten ripped off.

I am pretty sure it is a window spoiler. When the LC is driven in excess of 100mph one gets a lttle flutter from the air flow/suction moving past the front windows. I am pretty sure this is to aid in the disruption of air over the window surface at high speeds.

Or it could possibly be a dust diverter...much like the rear window spoiler. :D

I Think They Are For ......making It Hard For A Theif To Pry Your Window Apart! If I'm Not Mistaken.
