Cummins Diesel 3.3B Versus B3.3 Turbo

Bought a new non turbo version of the cummins diesel B3.3 engine thinking I could add a turbio to it at a later time. Big mistake. You can't. Not sure if the regular B3.3 is powerful enough to move my FJ40 with a H55F transmission in it...not looking to drag race, but being able to pass on a highway would be important.

For those of you that have done or know someone that has done this swap, what is the performance like? Is it worth it to look at getting the turbo version?

Even the turbo 3.3 is only about 80 hp. I'm going to say no.

From what I was told by a Cummins mechanic, it is the way they are plumbed.
