I was partial to the P38 lightning. The Brits would disagree with that too, the Spitfire was a beautiful plane. The Phantom was probably the first jet airplane model I built as a kid. It was, and still is, A BEAST! Coincidentally, I just watched a program on the F4 on the Smithsonian channel this week.

Me too. I had the 4 plane F-4 Thunderbird kit. When I saw this beast at the museum it was a huge rush of nostalgia.
 
I grew up close to a large airforce base. used to love the annual airshow. Two of my favorite aircraft in one shot. Awesome photo..
