Think the Dakota is slowly dying, I have an appointment for a transmission leak on Thursday. The Rack and pinion just blew a seal today on the way to work. Just buttoned that up about an hour ago, check out the green on the old unit, nothing but block or head above it.

Don't you have some yard equipment you can a dig a big hole in the back of the property and put the poor thing out of it's misery?

Before that happens how about a picture of the new dash you just put in?:bang:

We went through this with the Sienna. At 110k we did the timing belt too. Big mechanic bill that day.

Wildlife and open windows.
Almost taken out by a quail this afternoon. A grey blob slammed into the drivers side door just below the open window doing I would guess 40 mph. I looked in the mirror in time to see the hawk cart it off the road. Surprised it didn't leave a dent, sounded like a Randy Johnson fastball.

Got to try out some new camping gadgets, looking forward to a 2-3 day (?) run of the month...whose got January? Hopefully low elevation for the cool weather

Anyone camping this weekend? Thinking of two nights near Apache/ Roosevelt lake.

It is supposed to rain Sunday, but I am interested.

My rough plan is leaving Friday apx 1pm camping one place Friday night near Apache lake and then doing a little light wheeling and then camping close to Roosevelt for Saturday night.

Unfortunately I dont have Monday off ;(

And I don't have Friday off. Wa Wa Waaaaaa

That sucks!! we can meet somewhere Saturday, near Apache or Roosevelt lake or I can back track a little to Tortilla Flat and meet you there Saturday at a given time.

Maybe meet for breakfast around 9/10 at tortilla flat on Saturday.

Does anyone want to wheel Fruday and have it off? I'm thinking of making a run to go look at some country south of Globe.

Tentatively in for Saturday but would probably have to catch up to you guys around 11-11:30am.

Was out hunting javelina in one of the washes this evening. Came across a heep with his hood up and jumper cables connected to his battery. Said it would turn over, but not enough to start. So I jumped him.

In conversation, he got suckered in by one of those ads on how to recondition any battery. The battery in that heep was 6 years old, and not even a name brand battery. He was on his cell phone to one of the jeep sites trying to diagnose why it wouldn't start.

I could have been rude, but my better nature took over. But I did advise him to get a new battery.

Fyi for anyone looking for something new to watch, the recent release on Netflix called Nobel features 3 nice older 100 series for significant portions of the first few episodes (probably beyond that but haven't watched that far) as the Norwegan military's vehicles in Afghanistan. There's subtitles but the LC portions make it worth it...

Also for non-subtitled cruiser action on Netflix, check out Glitch, which has a main character of a lovely Australian 70 series (I think?) in every other scene throughout the whole series. Decent plot, too. :steer:

Yeah, I probably watch too much TV.
