Only thing the that really happened to me was 15mins in to the Sat run I clipped a stump that shot my off trail straight into larger stump shoving my tie rod into theLCA. With a turn of the wheel was able to pop it lose and continue down a little further to "winch" it "straighter".....

THEN Sat we decided to head out for some night wheeling. Wellllllll.... between a rock and wall my tie rod boomeranged completley and I wasn't going anywhere....... I will let Nick finish the story from there ;)

My CTW highlights....

I showed up late Thursday night, strolled around camp, didn't see the posse, so I put GB together, and got ready for wheeling in the morning.

Friday run, not too much drama, I took a shot at Can Opener, and got denied entry to the rock section due to slick dirt, giant rocks and large holes between those rocks... But I did get up on 3 wheels for a little bit... :D

Saturday, Had a couple copilots with me, who really helped out on the poker run, with come from behind trivia question answers, and stellar driving on Sam's part in the check point games. I took GB up Little Rubicon, got a little tippy at the crux of the obstacle, hooked up some cable for safety, and then drove right up! :D

Night wheeling... well I didn't have much drama, but I saw some.... :P Hehehe
 
ok time is up. Fill us in who flopped, and ty what is in the back of that truck. The last couple of pics wtf is that.

And for those of you who want to know the rest of the story.....



First I would like to thank all of the "Sat night crew", Ty, G and the Jippie for all of your help I wouldnt be here (Home) with out you!!



it goes like this...... hey nick can you turn around and give us some light so we can fix this.. SURE NO PROBLEM ( BAD IDEA ) I tried to make the best of the space I had avlb. to turn around and help Ty got off course and off camber and decided that the right side of the runner needed some body work and flopped it right in the middle of the trail..... thanks to the guys and girls around I was back on my tires before 2 long.. pulled the plugs, got all of the oil out of the right bank and got her running again.... Ty was fixed so I tucked my tail and headed for camp...



On the way home yesterday 10 or 15 miles north of Eugene I started having engine troubles, thanks to Jerod showing up at the right time we fixed the timing issue that I was having and went on however, we didnt get very far before the motor had enough. so... on the side of the fway, in the rain, on a hill..... we dropped GB from the Jippies truck and hooked mine up. so Jerod towed my runner and Chels and I crused GB.....



flop/tie rod 5 min of wheeling 2hr total trip

1st stop on fway, 1hr 15min

2nd stop on fway, the switch 1hr I think



ALL IN ALL... HAD A FRIGGIN BLAST!!! Thanks to Chelsie we took 3rd in the poker run, she won the Power Tank!!



Sat night it went down hill but hey thats life I guess...

i saw some pics, photobucket or my laptop are fxxxing up. or the s*** wi fi at this hotel. photobucket keeps freezing.

wheres the flop vid?

also, is the 4.3 DOA or what?

ready to swap to something imported or what?

you managed to blow that one twice in a year, i guess you shouldVE LET OFF!!

I was pretty sure we needed light to drop and fix it where it was because your wheels were turned the wrong way to winch, however, I did bump my head in the flop so I may be wrong...

photobucket has been fD all day thats why there are no vids because they wont load....

not sure about the motor....

Nick, anytime my friend!

My thought on the engine is that the oil leak got worse, starved the engine, and maybe spun a bearing...

Thank you all for making it such a great weekend!!!!

FYI, thanks to some awesome co-drivers/passengers I took 2nd in the poker run.... :flipoff2: and took home the 25% off ARB gift cert.

J, you hurt my feelings with that s***.
i wanted to go bad, unfortunately life has priorities.
i am only one month into my new corporate job, and soccer and life.
if it makes you feel any better i had to miss my soccer game this weekend too. my daughter kicked the other teams ass and i got to look at tires all day instead. :rolleyes:

some days i really hate my life.

glad you guys had a great time and very sorry i missed out. next year.


tell chels i love the pocket commentary. . . . . "glad i wasnt in there" lol
at least you were going 1 foot per hour, i think we have matching dents now, opposite sides. lol :flipoff2:
 
and to back up J statement on the 4.3. i read today that when you run them in hi revs, it wants to starve the front main bearing and stuff.

Gnob, sorry about the crappy timing, I really hope we can get you up there next year. :).

Pics hardly do some of the trails justice. J on "little rubi" was pretty freaking sweet. And awesome attempt at Can Opener, which I heard wasn't very easy (lack of better word) this year.
 
Eric, next year you and I go! :bounce::steer::bounce2::steer: I think we're missing out on too much. I kow, I know...life. Still, I'm planning hard for next year.
We'll see, right?:doh:
