Beware bad seller/member. Im surprised this account has not been deactivated with chances of this occurring in the past with @cruiserland

I was to purchase an fj40 transmission part from @cruiserland. We made conversation through private message. Days later after sending payment and him confirming the payment, he ships out to me a box filled with ears of corn  I don't know why he still sent me this package instead of just keeping the money. definitely a waste of time, not only on my end but also his just to box and ship this all out. Im guessing these came out of his moldy fridge. I will be using this as compost i suppose.

did you try and get in touch with him after opening the box?
no mention of that in your post

Kina is a stand up guy who has been helping folks out for a long time

maybe it was a box mixup??

X2 on Kina's responce

Was the box tampered with? Maybe someone stole the contents and put that in there to match the weight? Otherwise it makes no sense at all.

How was the corn though? Nice and sweet?

As recently as a week ago I paid for and received in timely fashion my items from Kina, there was no corn present in either of our packages — I think its important that we all understand what is going on here and what the outcome is.

Interested to see how this all plays out. With that said, I have had some strange things happen via USPS. I’ll never use them again to ship anything heavy.

Me too.
The only other time this has happened was with a character named Amir Saeed, he went by Amir904, then changed his username to Bullethead after causing a scene...last I heard thru the mud vine he went to jail for fraud.
Bullethead was last seen on mud Jan 2 2018

Could it be? Their writing style is remarkably similar....

No, I did not reach back out through private message and decided to post, on the open forum, to give light to the situation. And I don't know why you're thinking Im someone else. You obviously received payment. I on the other hand received a box filled with corn.

The box did not appear to have any obvious tampering. There seemed to be some slight wear on the outside. Everything was taped up tightly and I used a knife to cut and open the box. At first I thought the corn was some type of makeshift packaging material to dampen the weight of the heavy transmission top plate.

I found the package outside of my home and did not bother to open it up until the next day. It has the same usps shipping weight label as shown in the receipt provided by @cruiserland. I'll provide more pictures of the box, the shipping label ( which does not have a return address and quite suspicous) and the orginal letterhead that I sent you. I had sent him a check, through the mail, via envelope and @cruiserland used the orginal letter i sent on the packaging. It was taped on the front with my name and address.

I can not provide pictures at the moment until tomorrow

Edit: and if somebody tamper with the package left at my front doorstep, it doesn't make sense. It does not make sence for them to take what was inside of the box and fill it up with corn and tape it back up shut and leave it at the front door. It still has all the labeling and the orginal envelope I had sent to @cruiserland.They should have just taken the entire box with them. That is a lot of hassle for a package theif.

Well @cruiserland liked your post @Mdej3 about me having to dig through the box to find the item I was suppose to receive; so it's safe to say he finds the situation humorous.

Um...you laughed about it and had a silly emoji in the original post...
But you never said anything to me...

And why did you not contact me directly immediately? To "give light to the situation"?
Is this my exwife?
I'm sorry, it doesn't make cents, sence, sense. Did you receive my package? Was there a problem? Did you contact me then? No..
There is 100$ insurance on any usps package automatically..that's how much the plate was..why did you not contact me when you opened your corn a day late? No wondef it was moldy....I'd indeed there was tampering, lmk...there's insurance!
you sent me a bank check...which has yet to clear...as of 9-25-24..
but you say I I sent you corn?...really?
If you need another 4 speed shift plate for your upcoming project, lmk...I'm sure we'll all be watching.
I call BS.
Do it right or don't do it.

Here are the pictures I am able to provide. I do not have video proof of me walking to my front door, picking up the package off the ground, and opening it up in first person view like those youtube reveal videos. I doubt any of the members on ih8mud do that; so all I have are photos. I am currently out $160. I never received a 4-speed transmission 2-piece top plate. I will need to track another one down to be able to do my project. I was about to order more parts from you. I was looking to ask you for a column shift top plate and transmission bolts as well, but not anymore. Very upset. @cruiserland can check his bank account and see the check went through, maybe by the end of the day or by the end of the week. I don't know how long it takes for his bank to process transactions. My dispute still stands, @cruiserland has the money, there is no point for me to keep on arguing over the current situation. I gain nothing from this dispute over @cruiserland since he already cashed the check. I do not possess the item he claimed to have shipped to my address. This is just to warn other members of what happened and a word of warning to anyone who may do any future business with @cruiserland.

Photo one: is the box, empty, that I took out from the trash today.

Photo two: is the USPS shipping label with package weight. Same as how it is show on the USPS receipt provided by @cruiserland. 20Lbs 11.0 Oz

Photo 3: the original envelope that I sent to @cruiserland, which he folded up and taped it on the box so that my address faced outward. This picture shows the name that @cruiserland provided "Thurston Twigg" with the P.O box number. Also take note on the top right corner of the envelope, there is a torn postage stamp. I have a pamphlet of the same exact stamps with the one missing which i used to send the envelope, with the cashier's check, from my bank.

Photo 4: the box, overall. Nothing special

@DesertFJ40 tried to PM me the other day but my inbox was fully. I originally thought he was requiring about some soft top bows I have up for sale but now believe he was asking me if I received my items I purchased from @cruiserland. I personally think this thread needs to be removed from the bad sellers list.

I was attempting to PM because I saw through the classified section that you were looking for parts and @cruiserland was attempting to make contact with you. I wanted to give you a heads up that it was most likely as scam and save you from the situation of loosing your money, like I just did. I dont know you, I never interacted with you on the forum, but you're welcome. At least I considred you; but, like you said, your inbox was full. May this thread remain up.

@cruiserland. And lastly, I did not bother to PM you since you wouldn't have believed me either way. The "package" was not lost. This is the package which I received and it should look familiar to you. The photos show the box you sent, the letterhead, etc. I didn't open it immediately the day of when I received it. I got home from work and fell asleep. There's nothing wrong with that. Indeed, it's very ridiculous; not everybody will believe my side of the story.

Interesting.
I will check with the post office tomorrow, but I believe you will have to start the claim.. I'm not sure exactly how to proceed.. I did send the transmission shifter. I did deposit your check, but it still has not cleared. Still curious about the corn...and your flippant original post, and why you didnt contact me immediately....somethings fishy...did you have ro cut the tape to open it, or was it just full of corn?
