Micah, I'm also looking for a cruiser shop in austin. I called lcspec but their number was disconnected.

Does anyone know another shop around the austin area?

Yeah, I'd like to know what happened to Edwin and LSC as well. I haven't needed their services in a long time, but I was thinking about them recently as I undo the desmog Edwin did for me a couple years ago.

i know that Cool Cruiser of Texas does work also they are in Rowlettit is around waco. i know it is not austin but it is the only ohter place that i know of here is the link. http://coolfj40.stores.yahoo.net/

thanks for telling me that the austin place is not around i did not know that.

never mind the near waco part, it is near dallas

Wimberley Four Wheel Drive is in San Marcos, next exit west of the outlet mall and circle back, if I remember correctly. Daniel Edone is the owner.

There are several looking for Edwin, but I don't think they have repairs in mind..

man edwins shop rocked!
those dudes were sofa king cool!

what type of work are you looking for?
i think Wimberley Four Wheel Drive is more of a sales place than a repair shop,
or at least thats what i heard.

Wimberley 4 wheel drive does do all kinds if cruiser repairs. They've never worked on my wagon, but I know a couple of friends that have had repairs done there.

Looking to get some suspension work done and t-case rebuild. Plus other work when I don't have the time or tools.

Edwin closed up shop, never got the volume back when he moved out to Pflugerville :frown: If you're needing suspension and tcase work your best bet is Daniel down in San Marcos ... Beardon Automotive over off McNeal is pretty good for mechanical stuff as well. I wouldn't take my truck up to CCOT - they're more of a mail-order parts and uber $$$ resto shop

Come on out to the LSLC meeting, lots of good info and help from the crowd.

I am also looking for a place. Beardon seems to be OK, but they are a little high and last time I took my cruiser in they wanted to replace some parts that did not need to be replaced. they have done good work for me in the past though. Stay away from all Lambs tire and automotive as they don't know squat. I made the mistake of taking my truck in a couple times for what seemed like simple things, and each time they gave me quotes lots higher than anywhere else, but then I took it in for a tire leak and they could never find the leak(5 psi loss per week).
