Hey gang,

I had mentioned in the intro thread that I’m a new transplant to the area. The family and I are living in Leavenworth while I attend a year long school at Fort Leavenworth. As much as I’d love to wrench on things myself, I don’t think I’ll have the time to really commit to it. Because of that, I was hoping that someone here would be able to highlight a reputable shop or two. I’m looking for general maintenance such as radiator replacement, water pump, belts, etc.

Thank you all in advance!!

Cheers,
Chris

As long as you don't ask for a head gasket on the 570 ! Other maint is much easier on them, with easy being relative. But rob or Jess are recommended. Both have a little of a waiting list depending on what's needed. Emergent needs will take priority over "mods" cause we all know it sucks when the daily goes down.

I’m Jess , Cjmoon, and gray industries cruisers we’ve talked on Facebook.

Any other recommendations? I've tried contacting @cjmoon and @kc_chevota already. I believe I'm on Jess's waiting list but I think he has some higher priority customers in line and is slammed with work - been a few months now. Haven't heard back from KC yet but messaged him the other day.

Just looking for some general maintenance on my 200. High priority right now is transmission service but have some other odds and ends I'd like addressed.

you are on my list all of my customers are feeling it. took on some big projects this summer that ended up taking weeks longer each. I'm a small shop one in one out. if something urgent comes up like a starter fails on your daily it gets worked in and charge a higher rate for that immediate need that's more in line with other large shops in the area. I have long term goals to have more bays and lifts but have to work toward it.

@AZLX570 - if you’re able to wait, it will be worth it. Between Jess and Erik, more cruiser knowledge has been lost from that shop than most of us will ever dream of having. Personally I can’t put a price on the peace of mind that comes with dropping off a rig with Jess; fortunately I don’t usually have to because he’s also fair with his rates. Jess has worked on two of my trucks (pretty sure I was one of the big projects this summer - sorry!) and I’ve already started talking with him about a few things I’d like to do on a third. Unfortunately the trade off is the limited space in the shop. (Jess - find another bay or 3 already!), but it’s a trade off I’m willing to make given the quality work and fair treatment.

Much appreciated @cjmoon! Will continue to sit tight and wait for the call up!

@Polecat - always great to hear recommendations like yours.
