Gary T breaking.

After Gary broke his pinion, he backed down, only to get stuck against the rocks and almost perpendicular to the trail, on his try to go forward, he blew out all of his front driveshaft bolts (we thought he broke his front pinion as well). So then we tried winching him up, but he was stuck(because his pinion was not moving, something about it falling in making for no forward movement), so we had Mel pull the 60's back end over, while I was attatched to him at the top. It worked out good, and got Gary's truck out of the way so a bunch of jeeps and mini trucks could get by on their way down the trail.

Here are the last two pics of me showing some flex as I drive down and we head out while the last few hardcores finish putting Gary Ts rear pinion back in so he can drive home in front wheel drive.

hey Deny, next time your out for a quick boot in hicksville try going down to 8psi. you will find that that swampers dont even flex until you go below 10. anyways looks like you guys had fun

I know, Dan, but the first time I had them out on the trail, they were down to 12psi and I blew the bead! I never blew the bead before. The 8 in rim is just a bit too wide for the 10.5 tires. Once I get my locker from Steve, and I don't have to hammer down, I will air down that low. So go and kick Steve to get me that locker already! :D

Jake

time to get smurfed!

Travis was also at the show, Jake...but he was very late showing up. In fact, I didn't think he made it until I saw him at the end of the show. I was hoping that he would be able to bring a few of his Smurfields to show and sell...but he's a very busy guy. IIRC, he told me about a slightly different housing that's supposed to be even thicker and stronger? You'll have to chat with him to confirm that.
