CRUISE MOAB 2018 !!!!!

The planets have aligned for me to do another destination trip again. Want to go back to Moab again but this time during Cruise Moab.

It's held during May so this gives me and anyone who would like to join 11 months to get our **** together.

Post up here is interested and we can have a few meetings and formulate a plan.

On past trips we would meet the night prior to the final days drive and caravan the final leg together.

I'm in NY but we are definitely attending Cruise Moab 2018. I'll be trailering our 80 and will likely go the week prior to the event to explore Canyon of the Ancients and other areas.

My basic schedule is to Leave New England on Saturday April 28th and arrive at the campground on Monday April 29th.

This will give me a days rest (provided no mechanical issues) before the KoKopelli overnight run which is on May 1st.

So I've reserved a cabin for april 29th - May 6th at Slick rock campground. The cabins sleep 4 and are air conditioned. Total for 7 nights is $586.61.

There are other options for tenting or trailers as well.

Everyone needs to be a TLCA member and there is a discount for early registration.

For the past few years, its been the first week of May, generally from tues through sunday. If following past tradition, likely going to be 1-6.

that's what I'm hoping for. I had trouble getting the dates right when calculating travel time, 2018 calendar and those days. Never picked up on the fact the day date was in error.

Watch them throw a wrench in the whole works and change it up this year. It takes a lot of planning for us east coasters to get out there

no kidding. one of my main concerns is sleeping quarters. I'm too old to hit the dirt every night after a 35 hour drive only to drive back home at the end of it.

The dates have been updated on the CruiseMoab site. The event is Tuesday May 1st through Sunday May 6th.

I've made a deposit for a cab at SlickRock campground for April 29th with check out on Monday May 7th.

Slick Rock may or may not be the HQ for the event as it hasn't been determined yet. But to my knowledge it has been, in years past.

Hopefully the campground won't suddenly overcharge you like they did other people because there is a event going on that week. I'm glad they kept with past tradition for the first week of May. We will likely be there the week prior to do some more exploring
